* I'm a PhD student in theoretical biology working on information transfers and the emergence of cooperation. I'm also very active in creating innovative educational settings. I've created 4 years ago Paris Montagne Association which lets high school students discover scientific research. More on www.paris-montagne.org and www.scienceacademie.org. I've been running this association for 4 years, now employing nearly 10 people, and involving 200 new student every year at a national level. I also took part in the creation of the FDV PhD program (www.fdv-paris.org). I'm in charge of creating a permanent science café in Paris together with Leila.Perie. Both of us are also organising a science festival to be held in Palestine in November 2010. Thus I'm interested by this workshop both for theoretical and very concrete dimensions.
* The idea of making this workshop emerged thanks to discussions we had together with François Taddei and because of the perspective that have opened to us thanks to what has been previously done.
* I've been organising part of the second workshop of 2009 summer. I've tried to make it focus on one key possible outcome, that is to have real life communities emerge through the interaction they may start on the web. I think it is key for scientific innovation and social change to have a sound equilibirum between virtual interaction and IRL interactions.
* I'm in charge of trying to get some funds on the french side for the 2010 workshop.
* I may present as a team work projects and accomplishments related to the use of science communication as a tool to develop active citizenship among disadvantaged populations
