WISER Summer 2010
is the first edition of a worldwide event that will put together change makers
in education, research and innovation and students from all over the world.
The brightest brains will meet and share the creative ideas on the next-generation methodology and technology which will reform the future of education and research.

What are we going to do in Wiser Summer 2010?
There will be three major sessions in Wiser Summer 2010: Coopetition, TEDxWiserU and Creative Camp:
Coopetition (Aug. 19th & 20th)
Students will make teams and create projects related to novel ideas or methodologies for science and education before coming to Wiser Summer 2010 (Cooperation). And in the first two days of the summer event, all teams will meet at Peking University to present their projects, ideas and dreams and compete for “the wisest of the wisers” prize (Competition).
Some of the winners of WISER Summer coopetition will be invited to present their visions during the second session: TEDxWiserU.
TEDxWiserU is an international conference licensed by TED and organized by WISER-U.
Invited speakers from diverse background will present their views on the challenges and chances of science and education in the 21st century.
Out-of-Box brainstorming: (Aug. 22nd)
As we are all constrained by our own history, culture, society and environment, it is hard to imagine another educational system without understanding all these factors. We will spend this day brainstorming any kind of new learning and exploring methods out of the box of our daily experiences and constraints.
Creative Camp: (Aug. 23rd & 24th)
WISER-U Creativity Camp is a workshop for sharing and accumulating creativity among the change makers from all over the world. Participant from different places with diverse
background will meet and brainstorm in SciFoo style.There is neither predetermined subjects nor predetermined schedule. Participants introduce any interesting subjects related to creative ideas in science, education and research, and exchange their thinking by brainstorming or any interactive methods they prefer.
